Pediatric Orthotics - Chicago and Suburbs
At our facility you can be assured that you child is receiving care from a certified and licensed expert in the field.
After working at Lurie Children's Hospital for nearly 20 years, Pat Rogel realized there was a need for a community based pediatric orthotics facility. We offer the highest levels of expertise and caring.
"So many of the families were asking for family friendly scheduling, pediatric expertise and ease of access for care. This is why I decided to open my own practice."
Pat feels fortunate to have a career that is enjoyable and helps others. She has been overjoyed to see the miracle of first steps in a child who was told they would never walk. She is amazed by the strength that so many families have to power through devastating injury and illness with their child. “It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to give something back to a child or young adult – whether it is to improve range of motion, prevent deformity, decrease pain, to provide support for walking and playing.”
Pat Rogel is fortunate to work directly with a wide range of pediatric specialists in Chicago. She routinely works directly with physicians in orthopedics, neurosurgery, sports medicine, rheumatology, plastic surgery, and pediatric surgery. She enjoys collaborating best options for treatment with physical and occupational therapists.
Ms. Rogel has had the pleasure of working with hundreds of children from infancy, through their growing years and into college. “In the beginning, a parent might be frightened that their child’s potential will be inhibited because they need a brace (orthosis). I’ve seen children overcome tremendous obstacles and go on to play on the varsity team, earn academic and athletic scholarships, and even a Rhode’s scholarship! I enjoy helping kids become their best self.”
Pat became an Arthritis Foundation Advocate in 2015, after her son and daughter were diagnosed with different forms of Juvenile Arthritis. “The power that having a child with a complex medical history invokes can either destroy psyche or promote growth. My family had to make the conscious choice to use that power to strengthen and help others.”
